Payment and booking confirmation
The usual advance payment is 10% of the trip total, with the balance due 30 days before departure. Bookings made 30 days or fewer before departure require full payment.
The advance forms part of the trip price. Pay against your agreed written proposal and payment instructions; availability and the booking outcome will be confirmed separately in writing.

Cancellation timing and refund benchmarks
The commercial benchmarks below require clear disclosure and agreement before payment. They do not authorise automatic deductions or reduce a refund required by applicable law.
Departure means the first service date in the agreed itinerary. Count calendar days between receipt of the written cancellation and departure, using China Standard Time (UTC+8); departure day is day zero. Verifiable delivery records determine receipt, not a later staff reply.
Send written notice promptly. The next section governs the calculation; a percentage alone is not a sufficient basis for withholding money.

How the amount is reviewed
Percentages concern money actually received, rather than the unpaid quotation total. Necessary costs, irrecoverable supplier amounts and recoverable sums are reconciled individually, with the applicable statutory refund as a minimum.
The statement will identify relevant hotel, domestic transport and ticket items and explain each deduction. Only lawful, actual and irrecoverable costs may be withheld. The same cost must not appear twice in percentage and item-based deductions; subsequent recoveries must be reflected in the refund.
Bank or payment-channel fees are considered only where lawful, disclosed beforehand and genuinely non-returnable. No charge is assumed for every channel, and costs that belong to SACTOUR must not be passed to the traveller.
04 / BOOKING DETAILS
No-shows, late arrival and voluntary non-use
A no-show, early exit or voluntarily skipped service normally brings no additional refund; actual savings and recoverable costs must still be checked.
Contact your planner promptly so recoverable arrangements can be stopped. Unprovided services, lawful termination and other statutory entitlements require a separate assessment; commencement or non-attendance alone does not remove those rights.
05 / BOOKING DETAILS
Larger parties and restricted tickets
Parties of 11 or more may have separate written terms; some tickets are non-refundable or non-transferable.
Group conditions and ticket restrictions must be disclosed and agreed before the relevant payment or ticket issue, without unilateral additions afterwards. A cancelled performance, closure or other failure to provide a service requires a check of supplier recoveries and applicable law, with refundable sums returned.
06 / BOOKING DETAILS
Changing dates or arrangements
An equivalent change without extra cost may have no amendment fee; added costs need a new quote.
Discuss date, flight, rail, hotel or major activity changes with your planner first. We will set out alternatives, price differences, old-booking charges and revised payment arrangements for confirmation before action. Any resulting saving is reconciled for return.
07 / BOOKING DETAILS
Non-performance and statutory refunds
Refunds and responsibility arising from a SACTOUR cancellation, an unprovided contracted service or other breach follow applicable law and the contract, rather than the traveller-cancellation table.
Where a traveller lawfully terminates before the tour ends, necessary costs and the remaining balance must be assessed. Where force majeure or a legally recognised unavoidable event prevents performance, either party may terminate where the law permits. For partial performance, we will explain lawful adjustments and the traveller’s options. Termination refunds follow the legal rules for relevant sums already paid and irrecoverable.
Mandatory traveller rights remain intact. If the table would return less than the legally refundable balance, the statutory requirement takes priority.

Requests and payment processing
Email the address below or send a retainable written request to your original planner. Include the booking name, order or quotation reference, departure date, requested cancellation or change and reason. Do not send full card numbers, verification codes or passport images.
Our workflow is: verify the booking and receipt time → reconcile supplier and payment records → provide a written cost statement and result → coordinate return through the original collection channel → supply a processing reference.
Refunds are checked against the original payment record for the booking and coordinated through the original payment channel. Bank posting, settlement currency and exchange differences depend on the actual channel and contract. No unverified universal posting time is promised; applicable legal deadlines still apply.
